We're teaming up with Cozy Librarian (and all their book swap know-how) for a Winter Yarn Swap! Here are the deets:
When: Swap is Saturday, February 8 (10 am-4 pm) & Shop is Sunday, February 9 (12-3 pm)
Where: Son’s Chapel in Fayetteville
How: Bring your yarn to swap to Columbus House Brewery on Monday, February 3rd or Wednesday, February 5th 6-8 pm or to Son's Chapel on Tuesday, Feb 4th or Thursday, February 6th from 9 am - 12 pm.
Cost- $10 to enter the swap (includes tote bag!). Payment will be taken at time of yarn drop-off (cash or card). Additional credits can be purchased for any leftover yarn to be sold Sunday during the shop! (swappers will be able to reclaim their yarn on Saturday from 4-5 pm. Any yarn not picked up will be donated to Oz Knit Co.)
All yarn must be dropped off in boxes or bags- bags/boxes need to be labeled with person’s full name and email address
Yarn Requirements
- Full unwound skeins
- Original label (exception: if there’s one or 2 full skeins in a sweater lot that are unlabeled, the same goes for being wound)
- Smoke-free home
- Not dirty or shop-worn
Unlabeled and partial skeins we can accept as a donation, but not give credit for; however, partial skeins filling a gallon-size bag or more can be exchanged for 1 credit per gallon-size bag.
Oz Knit Co will assess your yarn based on the below categories and you'll be notified on Friday, February 7th of your available credits to shop! All "swaps" will be on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday.
Yarn Credits:
- Sweater Lot- 10 credits
- Luxury- 3 credits per skein
- Workhorse- 2 credits per skein
- Saver- 1 credit per skein
