Introduction to Color Work Class - Wine Koozie

Join us and instructor Sarah Pounds on Sunday, February 23, 1-4pm at Son's Chapel for an introduction to color work!

We will be knitting a wine bottle koozie in the round using 4 different colors.

There are 4 different kits to choose from. The class will be capped at 8 people! You will need to sign up by Friday, February 7 and pick up your kits during our Yarn Swap at Son's Chapel on Saturday or Sunday, February 8 or 9. In order to get the most out of our class time we ask that you have completed the single color ribbing (more information in the pattern) BEFORE the class starts on Sunday, February 23 at 1pm. 

You will learn:

1) Chart Reading

2) Planning for color work/ color choice

3) Float Tension

4) Catching Floats

5) Carrying up a color vs cutting and joining later

Price includes all yarn, three hours of instruction, and pattern. Please bring your own needles. If you need to purchase needles you can do so online and get 30% off. 

Recommended Needles: size 7 or 8 and either 3 inch shorties or 2 circulars

This class is intended for knitters who are comfortable knitting, purling, and knitting in the round. No prior color work knowledge needed! **We will email you color options after you register.**
