Join us on Sunday, February 18, 1-4 pm at Son’s Chapel to learn to knit cables! This class is for advanced beginners or intermediate knitters who want to learn cable techniques and how to read cable charts. This class includes a cable needle and enough yarn (Queensland Falkland Chunky) to create a swatch as well as three hours of instruction. We've chosen yarn that will be easy to see as we examine our stitches.
It does NOT include needles. Please bring US Size 9 or 10 (straight or circular depending on preference) or purchase separately.
Please note that we will not be completing a finished garment. We will be working on a swatch to cover different cable techniques. We will have additional Queensland Falkland Chunky available for purchase as well as several beginner cable patterns to continue practicing.
This class is intended for advanced beginners or intermediate knitters. You MUST be able to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, and have a basic grasp of reading your knitting. All ages are welcome; we just ask that kids under 16 are accompanied by an adult! The same requirements apply.
